Bogner Uberschall...Schematic??

잘 나가는 하이앤드 앰프 중에 Bogner Uberschall이 있다. Dual Rectifier에 비해서 덜 muddy 하면서도 tight하고 brutal한 distortion을 자랑하는 물건이다. 불행히도 이 물건의 회로도는 돌아다니질 않는다. Fish preamp나 Triple Giant의 회로도는 구할 수 있지만 말이다.

어떤이는 Triple giant의 shark channel과 Uberschall의 lead channel이 같다고 하는 이들도 있다..

아래는 인터넷에서 구한 사진이다..보는 바와 같이 사진으로 trace하는 것은 불가능한 수준이지만..맛보기로..

사진을 보면 메인 PCB, tone stack PCB, output PCB 3장 정도로 꾸며지는데, PCB로 작업하기 때문인지 상당히 단촐하게 보여진다. Main board의 좌측은 heater 전원부로 보여지고, 바로 옆은 preamp 전원부의 일부로 보여진다. 중앙부와 좌측은 preamp 회로이며, 프리앰프부에 4개의 12AX7을 쓰는데, 첫번째 12AX7 (가장 좌측)은 clean/lead channel의 초단, 두번째, 세번째 12AX7은 lead channel, 네번째 12AX7은 clean channel이다.

그리고 output PCB에 보이는 2개의 12AX7은 각각 send/return, phase splitter로 보여진다.

샤시 위에 바로 배선되어있는 4개의 소켓이 출력관(EL34)을 위한 것으로 보여진다.

아래는 조지 린치가 연주한 샘플인데, 아마도 7현 바리톤을 쓴 것 같아보인다. 대개 이 정도의 저음이 나오면 상당히 뭉개지는 소리가 나야 할 것 같은데, 매우 tight한 소리가 난다. 트래블도 강조되어있는 것처럼 들리고, 풍부한 하모닉이 매우 럭셔리한 앰프임을 보여준다.

관련 정보를 찾다보니 생각보다 자료가 빨리 얻어지는 것이 뭔가 해답을 빨리 찾게 될 것 같다. Bogner amp는 clean channel을 빼고는 Marshall style의 tone stack을 쓰니 모듈로 만들어 올리는 것도 어렵지 않을 것 같다.

Monitoring the referer statistics, I’ve found that lots of visitors wandered my blog using web-based translators. As you know, web-based translator, especially for Korean-English, is very awful in its function, so that even I, the author of this post, cannot read the translated one (in English, I didn’t try other languages).

For those who want the schematic, “I don’t have any schematic or draft drawing. I just guess what it looks like..”. You can get it easily by some googling. It was not so perfect, but accurate to some degree.
